This program is designed to give you everything you need to succeed as a composer, arranger, mixer or producer in the constantly changing commercial music industry. You will gain the special technical and practical skills required in the recording industry – as well as the understanding of the economic considerations of production, ever-growing consumer needs, and changing musical styles that are expected of today’s composers, arrangers, and producers. You will prepare yourself for an exciting career as a music producer or composer with real-world skills to succeed in today’s ever-evolving commercial music industry.
This dynamic, 100 percent online program is focused exclusively on graduating composers and producers with industry-relevant skills, so they can seamlessly transition into working full-time in the music production and media scoring industries.

From film scoring courses focused on mixing and delivering files in the same way composers do to mixing music and simulating the professional relationships needed in the recording world, students will be prepared for all aspects of music production from film to television and interactive media.
Upon graduation, students will have the knowledge and skills to walk into a wide range of recording industry career opportunities, including sound design for film, television, and interactive media; music editing for film and TV; voiceover podcast recording and editing; as well as post-production sound, studio engineering, music producing, mixing, or composing.

You’ll need to submit two or three letters of recommendation. When you enter your recommenders’ information on the application, they automatically receive an email asking them to fill out your recommendation online. You should ask them before completing this part of the application as well as inform them of the process involved. Reminding them that your recommendations need to be received by the application deadline to be considered for admission, would also be helpful.
The online application allows you to track the status of each of your recommendations. It’s best to request letters from academic and/or professional references and not personal contacts.
