  • PATRICIA ABRIL, JD

    Patricia Abril is an Associate Professor of Business Law at the Miami Herbert Business School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University in 1996 and her Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School in 2000. Before joining the University of Miami faculty in 2004, Abril practiced international corporate law in Miami. She went on to serve as Manager of Business and Legal Affairs at The Univision Network. Professor Abril has authored many law review articles and has contributed to numerous academic journals.

  • TIMOTHY BURCH, PhD

    Timothy Burch is an Associate Professor of Finance and Academic Director of the Master of Science in Finance program at the University of Miami. He earned his doctorate from the University of Michigan and has been published in several academic journals, including The Journal of Business and The Journal of Financial Economics. Burch has also won many awards, including the Miami Herbert Business School Excellence in Research Award in 2003 and 2004.

  • GEORGE KORNIOTIS, PhD

    George Korniotis is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Miami Herbert Business School. Before that, he taught at the University of Notre Dame and served as a Financial Economist at the Federal Reserve in Washington, DC. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Cyprus in 1998 and received his doctorate from Yale University in 2003. His work has been published in academic journals and featured in The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

  • SETH LEVINE, CPA

    Seth Levine attended the University of Miami, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1983, his Master in Professional Accounting degree in 1985, and his Master of Business Administration in 1989. He began his professional career as an auditor and consultant with Price Waterhouse in 1985 and became a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida in 1987. Levine has been teaching for the University of Miami since 1990. He has also served as a senior faculty member for the Becker CPA Review Course since 1989.

  • MIGUEL IRAOLA, PhD

    Miguel Iraola is a Lecturer Professor and the Undergraduate Director at the University of Miami. He holds a doctorate and a Master of Science degree in Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Universidad Pública de Navarra. His research focuses on the interrelation between the real and financial sides of the economy from theoretical and empirical perspectives.

  • ROBERT PLANT, PhD

    Robert Plant is an Associate Professor at the Miami Herbert Business School. He earned his doctorate in artificial intelligence at the University of Liverpool, England, and previously studied computation at Wadham College, Oxford University. Plant is a fellow of the British Computer Society, a chartered engineer, and a European engineer.

    He is the author of several books on e-business and technology, as well as over 60 peer-reviewed articles. He specializes in executive coaching and has taught technology and strategy in graduate executive programs around the world.

    Plant is a frequent contributor on technology issues for the Harvard Business Review. He has written for the Chatham House’s World Today, China’s People’s Daily, and Financial Times. He is also a frequent contributor for the Harvard Business Review and the Wall Street Journal online in its Leadership Expert section and on issues related to technology and strategy.

  • MANUEL SANTOS, PhD

    MManuel Santos is a professor and the James L. Knight Chair, Department of Economics, at the University of Miami. He earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago. His extensive teaching experience includes prior positions at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, ITAM, University of Minnesota, Arizona State University, University of Chicago, and the University of California.

    In addition to teaching, Santos serves as a consultant to governments and corporations. He has published and serves several top academic journals. His areas of expertise are macroeconomics, finance, and managerial incentives.

  • TERRI SCANDURA, PhD

    Terri Scandura is a Professor of Management in the Miami Herbert Business School at the University of Miami. From 2007 to 2012, she served as Dean of the Graduate School of the University. Her fields of interest include leadership, mentorship, and applied research methods. She has been a visiting scholar in Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, China, and the United Arab Emirates.

    Scandura has authored or co-authored over two hundred presentations, articles, and book chapters. She has presented executive education programs on leadership, mentoring, leading change, and high-performance teams to numerous organizations such as VISA International, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, the Young Presidents Organization, Hewlett-Packard, and Baptist Health Systems.

  • AMY AGRAMONTE, MBA

    Amy Agramonte is a lecturer at the University of Miami, where she teaches Principles of Marketing and Marketing for Entrepreneurs. She is also the Content Developer and Faculty Director for the UOnline Foundations of Marketing Management course (MKT 600). Each of these courses is an extension of her daily life as she is also the Creative Director and owner of Blonde Concepts, a graphic design and marketing studio. Agramonte holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami with a focus on marketing and has worked in a variety of fields, including public relations in the hospitality industry to market research for consumer branding to real estate development.
