Course Sequence
This course details the fundamentals of financial accounting and finance, as well as microeconomic concepts, and touches on quantitative skills needed to pursue the Master of Science in Finance degree or other master's degrees that entail taking elective courses in finance.
This course builds on Finance 1 to provide a more advanced treatment of topics in investment theories, portfolio selection, and corporate finance.
This course uses an inter-disciplinary approach, between finance and accounting, to build knowledge of international finance, financial statement analysis, and company and project valuation.
This course focuses on decision-making theory and behavioral finance and includes case applications to apply theory to topics such as agency problems, conflicts of interest, and money management. Students learn about the psychological, social, and cultural determinants of suboptimal managerial behavior and how those common “mistakes” could be avoided.
This course covers topics in corporate finance and business law, which include the financial and legal aspects of mergers, leasing, and financial strategy.
